Spoiler :
Jack Latham (John Jackson Latham)
Born Seattle, Washington, December 27, 1914
Died Palm Springs, California, January 1, 1987
Age 72 (heart attack)
At the age of 19 Jack went to Hollywood in search of fame and stardom but ended up as pretty much a background actor. This led to the beginnings of a very similar career in radio until he began auditioning as an announcer in the early 1940s. Most of his radio work was forgotten but he is remembered as the announcer on The Man Called X on NBC (1950-51). He was then news anchor and staff announcer for NBC's O&O KNBH (later KRCA-TV and KNBC) in Los Angeles and moving on in a similar capacity ar KMIR-TV in Palm Springs. The vast majority of his work was on NBC or NBC affiliated stations.
