Born in California 5/15/1897; died in January of 1973 at Miami, Florida. (some sources say June, but Social Security records state May). He moved to America with his family at age two. By seven, he was studying violin, and by age seventeen was a member of the Boston Symphony Orchestra.

Later, he formed a dance band that played clubs and hotels including the Boston Mayfair establishment which he owned. He recorded on several record labels, and madee his radio debut in 1925 on Boston's WEEI.
