law at the University of Florida, then followng his sophomore year he transfered to The University of Georgia and changed his major to music. Later he studied Opera at Vanderbilt University. On screen in Stars Over Broadway (1935); Ziegfeld Follies (1946). Metropolitain Opera debut (1942).
