Spoiler : Hagen, Jean (birth name was Jean Shirley Verhagen) Born in Chicago, Illinois 8/3/1925 (some sources say 1923); died 8/29/1977 of throat cancer in the Woodland Hills, California Motion Picture Hospital. Married and divorced to building contractor Tom Seidel (1947-1965). Studied drama at Northwestern University, then moved to New York to perform on stage, making her debut in Swan Song. Screen debut playing Beryl Caighn in Adam's Rib (1949). Last movie was playing Dede Marshall in Dead Ringer (1964).
