Father of six sons including rock-star Gary Lewis of The Playboys. Lewis appeared with his family performing on the Borscht Circuit, was a comedian by age sixteen. 4-F due to a punctured ear drum. Lewis and Dean Martin formed a comedy team while appearing at the Atlantic City, New Jersey 500 Club (1946-1956). The comedy team of Martin and Lewis made their screen debut with My Friend Irma (1946). The Martin And Lewis Show was on NBC- Radio (1949-1953).
