Spoiler : Jordan, Jim (birth name was James Edward Jordan) Born near Peoria, Illinois 11/16/1896; died 4/1/1988 from a blood clot in his brain after falling at his Los Angeles, California home. Married to actress Marian Jordan (1918-1961 her death); Gretchen Stewart (1962-1988 his death). Jordan was a simple farm-boy that wanted to be a singer. Jordan was a letter carrier in 1918 when he was drafted to serve in the US Army during WWI. Upon his discharge, Jordan and his wife formed a singing team that toured in the vaudeville circuit.

Spoiler : The team of Jim and Marian Jordan made their radio debut on WIBO-Chicago in 1924 as a singing duo called, "The O'Henry Twins." They continued their vaudeville career, but continued to be featured on several programs for radio station WENR-Chicago (1924-1935) including playing Mickey Donovan and Gertie Glump on Kaltenmeyer's Kindergarten; The O'Henry Twins (sponsored by O'Henry Candy); The Air Scouts; The Smith Family which is reputed to be the one of the first situation comedies on radio, while soap opera fans claim it as one of the first serial programs.

Spoiler : Fibber McGee on the Fibber McGee And Molly Show sponsored by Johnson's Wax as a weekly thirty minute program on NBC-Radio (1935-1953), then for various sponsors including Pet Milk and Alcoa Aluminum on NBC-Radio as a five-times-a-week fifteen minute program (1953-1956). Marian Jordan left the program because of illness during the 1939-1940 season. During that time the series was called Fibber and Company. After her return, the program began broadcasting again as Fibber McGee and Molly. The team of Fibber and Molly was last featured on NBC-Radio Monitor in five minute sketches (1957-1959).

Spoiler : Jim and Marian Jordan made their screen debut in This Way Please (1938), then made three more Fibber McGee And Molly movies; Look Who's Laughing (1941); Here We Go Again (1942); Heavenly Days (1944). Jordan provided his voice for characters in the 1977 movie Rescuers.
