Born in New York City 2/13/1920; died 8/27/1981 in New York City. Sister of Jack and Sam Edwards; neice of Gus Edwards. Married to violinist Jules Schachter (?-?). Edwards was billed as "The female answer to Frank Sinatra." She began her career as a singer-pianist with Paul Whiteman's band (1938-1940).
