Spoiler : Born in New York City; 2/13/2003 at age 85 from complications of a stroke he suffered in January of 2003 at a nursing facility in Newport Beach, California. Connelly was married and widowed twice. Connelly served in the merchant marines, then became a copywriter at J. Walter Thompson advertising agency where he met Bob Mosher. Connelly and Mosher formed a writing team, and left the agency in 1942, writing scripts for The Bergen and Charlie McCarthy Show on the NBC and CBS Networks (1942-?); The Fitch Bandwagon on NBC (1946-1948). The team wrote and produced The Amos n' Andy Show on the CBS and NBC Radio Networks from 1943 until 1955.

Bob Mosher created, wrote and produced Leave It To Beaver on CBS-TV (1957-1958); ABC-TV (1958-1963). Connelly and Mosher created television programs including, Ichabod And Me on CBS (1961-1962); The Munsters on CBS (1964-1966). Connelly produced Pistols 'N' Petticoats on CBS-TV (1966-1967). Following the end of Pistols 'N' Petticoats Connelly and Mosher ended their partnership. In the early 1970s, Connelly suffered a near-fatal aneurysm which ended his career.
