Born in Clayton, Illinois 10/20/1922; died 8/7/1992 of a heart attack in Sherman Oaks, California. Educated at the University of Iowa. Began his acting career aboard the riverboat Goldenrod in 1942. Served in the Armed Forces during WWII.
