Lund was a New York advertising man when he appeared in an industrial show during the 1939 World's Fair, causing him to change his career to acting. Broadway debut in As You Like It (1941). Writer of the lyrics, and the book that was adapted to the 1943 Broadway play, New Faces of 1943). Screen debut playing Captain Bart Cosgrove in To Each His Own (1945). Last credited movie role was playing John Stacy in If a Man Answers (1962).

Regular performer on radio programs including Academy Award for CBS (1946); Screen Director's Playhouse for NBC (1949-1951); Suspense for CBS (ca late 40s to early 50s).

Spoiler : Some sources credit Lund with being a regular performer on the Canadian (CBC) series, Junior Roundup (1960-1961), but I find very little info on the series, maybe it was a Canadian fellow named John Lund. He retired from acting in 1963 and became a Hollywood businessman, but returned briefly in 1978 making his last screen appearance with an uncredited role in Cycle Vixens.
