She was such a talented creator of song! She told this story about the time of her early success: The people in her hometown always sang, and they thought she was good at it. So she went out into the show business world and began to have success. As a special gift for her Father, she sent him a shiny Red Pickup truck. One of the neighbours eyed this shiny gift with suspicion. "What does Kay do for a living?", he asked. She laughed that the neighbours probably thought she was selling her body or something. No one there could believe that one could make a living by singing songs. That was just something they all did for free.
