Born in Hawaii 6/28/1895; died in July of 1977 at Flushing, New York. Attended Franklin and Marshall College in Pennsylvania. Served in the armed forces during WWI. Following the end of WWI, he played an ukulele in a band called The White Lyrics. During the 1920s, he performed on the BBC in England playing his ukulele. Keech and his brother Alvin were featured in the 1926 film short, Alvin and Kevin Keech. He is credited with creating the banjulele instrument, a hybrid of the banjo and ukulele. He returned home to America in 1928.
