Elliott, Larry (birth name was Lawrence K. Elliott)
Born in Washington, D.C. 8/31/1905; died 7/27/1957. Elliott began his radio career in 1932 at WJSV (now WTOP in Washington, D.C. At WJSV, he rose to be their chief announcer, as well the official announcer at the White House. He moved to New York in 1938 to be an announcer for the CBS Radio Network.
