Spoiler : Larry Finley Born Syracuse, New York, May 14, 1913 Died Oceanside, New York, April 3, 2000 Age 86 An all around businessman who could turn almost anything to gold, he had some problems when it came to radio. He partnered with Tommy and Jimmy Dorsey on some projects in San Diego, where he also owned radio station KSDJ, one of the first stations to run 24 hours (he was often the overnight DJ himself). He also started Finley Productions, which was the first West Coast company to specialize in recorded television shows. Staying focused on Old Time Radio, he produced the series Diary of Fate. In 1950 he organized the Progressive Broadcasting Systems radio network, which lasted from August 1950 to January 1951. Off topic, those in the Los Angeles area might remember him from his all night TV sessions camped out at a retail establishment. And the store was open the whole time.
