Paul, Les (birth name was Lester William Polsfuss) Born in Waukesha, Wisconsin 6/9/1915. Married and divorced to Mary Ford (1949-1964). Paul's original combo became members of Fred Waring's Pennsylvanians (1936-1941). The Les Paul Trio was was on screen in Sensations Of 1945. In the early 1950's with then wife and vocalist Mary Ford developed a new sound by using multiple recording of her voice with his guitar as back-up. Les Paul and Mary Ford hosted The Les Paul And Mary Ford Show on Mutual-Radio (1950- 1951, again in 1955).
