Born in New York City 5/2/1895; died 11/22/1943 of pneumonia in New York City. Hart and Richard Rodgers were a team from 1919 until 1942. The team's first collaboration was Any Place With You for the Lew Fields show, their last was By Jupiter (1942). Rodgers and Hart wrote the theme, "The Flame of Freedom is Burning" for Mutual radio's, "Keep'Em Rolling" (1941-1942). The program was sponsored by the Office of Emergency Management for national defense interests.
