She began her radio career in the 1930s, as a newscaster and interviewer of stage and movie stars in Los Angeles. Mrs Beethoven, Gertrude and other roles on The Henry Morgan Show for the Mutual and ABC Radio Networks (1940-1948). Miss Genevieve Blue on Amos 'n' Andy for the NBC and CBS Radio Networks (1941).

I am Madeline Lee's daughter. There is some confusion. She started as a child actress in movies but was a big radio star as well. She was born in NYC on May 30th, 1923 and died suddenly on April 15, 2008 just before her 85th birthday. She was married to the great character actor, Jack Gilford. (there is another "Madleine Lee" also listed here. Maybe that is the confusion. Lisa Lee Gilford
