She brought her stage plays to the screen and got away with her sexual double entendres, especially before the Hays code was strictly enforced. She even wrote a lot of her own material on stage and screen. Mae sizzled with Cary Grant in two of her best films - "She Done Him Wrong" (1933) and "I'm No Angel" (33).
