Spoiler : Born in Du Quoin, Illinois 5/27/1904; died 3/21/1946 of a heart attack in California. Hurt was a member of a group called, Tom, Dick and Harry (Bud Vandover, Marlin Hurt and Gordon Vandover).

Spoiler : With Hurt playing dick, the group was featured on radio programs including The Affairs of Tom, Dick and Harry for Mutual (1937-?); Plantation Party for Mutual and NBC (1938-1943); Uncle Walter's Doghouse for NBC (1939-1942). Mademoiselle Levy and other roles on Avalon Time for NBC-Radio (?-1939-?). Hurt played Beulah on radio programs including Show Boat for NBC (1940- 41); The Fibber McGee And Molly Show for NBC (1944-1945), then provided all the voices for The Beulah Show on CBS-Radio (1945-1946 his death).
