Spoiler : Matlock, Matty (Julian C. Matlock) Born in Paducah, Kentucky 4/27/1907; died 6/14/1978 in Van Nuys, California. Jazz clarinetist with bands of Beasley Smith, Ben Pollack (1929-1934), Bob Crosby's Bobcats (1936-?). The Bobcats were on Mutual-Radio (1939). Moved to Hollywood in 1943. Formed the Matty Matlock Orchestra and provided music for radio programs including Duffy's Tavern on CBS and NBC sometime during the 1940's. Clarinet player on Pete Kelly's Blues for NBC-Radio (1951), again for the 1955 movie with the same title.
