Mitzi Gaynor has always exuded intelligence and fun, no matter how silly the role. She is a longtime favourite of mine. And the grounding she brings to the feverish extravaganza "There's no Business like Show Business" is so welcomed.

MITZI GAYNOR (born in 1931) Gaynor starred in the beloved musical by Rodgers and Hammerstein - "South Pacific" (1958) opposite Rossano Brazzi and John Kerr. She is also remembered for co-starring in "There's No Business Like Show Business" (54) with Ethel Merman, Dan Dailey, Donald O'Connor and Marilyn Monroe. Another popular film was "Les Girls" (57) with Gene Kelly. Other films included: "My Blue Heaven" (50) with Betty Grable and Dan Dailey, "We're Not Married" (52), "The I Don't Care Girl" (53), "Anything Goes" (56), "The Joker Is Wild" (57), "Happy Anniversary" (59) and "For Love Or Money" (63). Mitzi is now age 86

Gaynor, Mitzi (Francesca Mitzi de Charney von Gerber) Born in Chicago, Illinois 9/4/1931. Daughter of music director Henry Gerber and dancer Pauline Fisher. Married to talent agent Jack Bean (1955-?). Studied ballet at age four and at age twelve danced professionaly at the Los Angeles, California Civic Light Opera. Screen debut in My Blue Heaven (1950). Guest star on television programs including The George Jessel Show for ABC (1953- 1954); The Kraft Music Hall for NBC (1967-1971).
