Born in Vancouver, Canada; died 2/27/1997 at age 84 at the Woodland Hills, California Motion Picture and Television Hospital. Margetts began her career on radio in 1929. Moved to Los Angeles in 1945 and became one of the first female network radio announcers. On screen in House of Wax (1953); On a Clear Day You Can See Forever (1970). One of three actresses to play Jane Sherlock on Meet Miss Sherlock for CBS-Radio (1946-1947).
