Montana appeared in some sixty annual Tournament of Roses parades in Pasadena, California. Riding a beautiful steed, sitting on a silver saddle. Montana made headlines in 1953 when he roped President Eisenhower during his inaugural parade. Montana had asked Eisenhower's permission, which was granted, but the president's Secret Service guards were not told of the gag, which almost had them pulling Montana off his steed.
