Bond, Nelson Born 11/23/1908 in Scranton, New Jersey. Died 11/4/2006 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Bond was a science fiction and fantasy writer that began his career in the 1930s as a non-fiction writer for several periodicals. He was noted for his 1937 short-story, "Mr Mergenthwirker's Lobbies," which was originally published in the mainstream magazine Schribner's.

During the 1940s, he wrote scripts for radio programs including The Sheriff, Dr Christian and Hot Coffee(?). Beginning in the late 1940s, he wrote for television including episodes of Tales of Tomorrow; Lux Video Theatre; Rod Brown of the Rocket Rangers; Kraft Television Theatre; Thriller. He was the writer of Studio One's telecast of "The Night America Trembled," which was about Orson Welles' 1938 radio broadcast about H.G. Wells' War of the Worlds.
