Vocalist with Ted Fio Rito's band during the 1920's, while the band was appearing at Chicago's Edgewater Beach Hotel, they were broadcasting on station WEBH. Vocalist on The Vincent Lopez Show for CBS-Radio (1934-?).

Born in Newark, New Jersey 8/22/1897; died 7/28/1982 following a stroke in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He began his singing career on the vaudeville circuit while playing his guitar and bajo. Lucas was nicknamed the "Singing Troubadour" for his gentle singing voice. His theme song, was "Tip Toe Through The Tulips."
