Spoiler : Born in Adel, Iowa 2/21/1916; died 8/13/2002 of cardiac arrest following surgery for pancreatic cancer at the Mayo Clinic facility in Scottsdale, Arizona. He was a resident of Indio, California. Jolley began his career as an actor in 1940's westerns. Writer for, and played Doctor Malingro on Space Patrol for ABC-Radio (1950-1955); ABC-TV (1951-1952). Jolley created out-of- this world gadgets such as raydurium, endurium, the palm injector and other gadgets for the technology-challenged mid-20th-century, but developed a key rule of thumb that he would maintain throughout his career: never violate actual fact. Jolley teamed up with Dick Bartlett in 1956 to form Bartlett- Jolley Productions. With both of them producing, Jolley writing and Bartlett directing, they made eight movies for Universal-International, and worked on episodes of Wagon Train. Co-producer and writer for Cimarron City on NBC-TV (1958-1959).
