Spoiler : Henry, O (William Sydney Porter) Born in Greensboro, North Carolina 9/11/1862; died in 1910. O Henry began his career as a bank teller in Austin, Texas. Borrowed money from the bank to start a magazine, "Rolling Stone" in 1894. Ran away at the height of the scandal stemming from charges of his embezzlement, but returned in 1897 to wife's death bed. Found guilty of embezzlement, sent to prison. While in prison began writing short stories and adopted the pseudonym of O Henry (1898- 1901). For the last ten years of his life he was writer of short stories for The New Yorker magazine, and a compendium of his stroies was used for the 1952 movie, O Henry's Full House. Creator of the notorious safe-cracking character, Jimmy Valentine that was adapted to the NBC-BLUE radio program, "Alias Jimmy Valentine" (1938-1939). Creator of the Cisco Kid character with his story, "The Caballero's Way." The Cisco Kid was on Mutual-Radio (1942-1946), in syndication (1947-1956). The Cisco Kid was on television as a syndicated program with 158 episodes (1950-1956).
