Born in Steelton, Pennsylvania 3/4/1907; died 1/3/1988 of a cerebral hemorrhage in Burbank, California. He left home at age fourteen when he went to sea, later working in vaudeville and was a tightrope walker's assistant with the Barnum and Bailey Circus.
