Born in Gallitzin, Pennsylvania 2/13/1908; died 5/9/1990 of a heart attack in Los Angeles, California. Married to Charles Robbins (1969-?). Educated at American University, then was a newspaper reporter for The Washington Star.

She began her radio broadcasting career as an editorial assistant to news commentator H.R. Baukhage, then went on to became one of the first female news commentators. She was with ABC Radio and Television from 1946 to 1953.
