Spoiler : Como, Perry (birth name was Pierino Roland Como) Born in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania 5/18/1912; died 5/12/2001 from complications of Alzheimer's disease at his home in Jupiter Inlet Colony, Florida. Married to Roselle Beline (1933-1998 her death). Como began his career as a fifteen year-old Canonsburg, Pennsylvania barber. Como began his singing career with Freddie Corlone's band in 1933, then joined Ted Weems' band. Vocalist with the Ted Weems band on radio programs including The Fibber McGee And Molly Show for NBC (1937-1938); Beat The Band for NBC (1940-1941). Featured vocalist on The Chesterfield Supper Club for NBC-Radio (1944-1949).

Spoiler : Como's first hit tune was 1945's Till the End of Time, and by the late 1940's Como had become one of the top popular male singers. In a 12/1949 interview he revealed that he still had his barber shears and kept his union card up.
