Regan, Phil (birth name was Philip Joseph Christpoher Aloysios Regan) Born in Brooklyn, New York 5/28/1906; died 2/11/1996 in a Santa Barbara, California retirement home. Former New York City Police detective that became known as the "Singing Cop" after a radio show producer heard him singing at a party, leading to a guest spot on The Burns And Allen Show. Screen debut in Dames (1934).

By the early 1950's, Regan was wealthy from an oil well partnership with comedian Bob Hope, which led to him becomming an activist for the Democratic Party (later a Republican). He was also a public relations agent until his retirement.
