The original vocal group comprised of sisters Grace (born in 1908), Helen and Jane, Grace disliked performing, so fourteen year old sister Patti replaced her. The vocal group made their radio debut with The Pickens Sisters on NBC-Radio (1932), then they continued with an NBC-Radio show until 1936 when the group split up. The group was on screen in two 1933 movies, 20,000 Cheers for the Chain Gang and Sitting Pretty. The group were regular vocalists on radio programs including Gulf Headliners on NBC-BLUE (1935).
