He was ever reliable, no matter how screwy the film might have been. I'm thinking of "Sensation Hunters", with the always crackling Arline Judge. I even have some where he's billed as Preston S. Foster. That's way back into the 30s.

Born in Ocean City, New Jersey 4/24/1904; died 7/14/1970 of a heart attack in La Jolla, California. Married and divorced to Gertrude Warren (?-?); actress Rebecca Heffner (aka Sheila D'Arcy ?-1970 his death). On stage before his screen debut in Nothing But The Truth (1930). Last movie was Chubasco (1968). Captain John Herrick on the syndicated television, Waterfront (1954-1956). Captain Zachary Wingate on Gunslinger for CBS-TV (1961).
