Spoiler : Quin Ryan, WGN radio pioneer, was my father's first cousin and a man I knew well. This has been amazing to hear these broadcasts of his for despite much research I have not been able to turn up any others. WGN did not keep recordings of their early broadcasts and few if any are alive who remember his broadcasts. I am a writer who is trying to compile information on him to preserve the memory of his incredible career (Scopes Trial, Dempsey-Tunney fight, first Cubs broadcaster, first Indianapolis 500, first Kentuckey Derby, and many more) and for yet another attempt to get him into the Radio Hall of Fame.
