Goulding, Ray (birth name was Raymond Walter Goulding)
Born in Lowell, Massachusetts 3/20/1922; died 3/24/1990 of kidney failure in Manhasset, New York. Following graduation from high school, Goulding was an announcer at WLLH-Boston in 1938, then moved to WEEI-Boston in 1939. Served in the US armed forces during WWII.

Following the end of WWII, Goulding returned to WHDH-Boston where he met Robert Elliot, who was a morning disc jockey, and where they formed the "Bob & Ray" comedy team. Played Mary McGoon, Webley Webster and Biff Bosco on The Bob and Ray Show from 1951 until the 1970s; Pick And Play With Bob And Ray on NBC (1953; NBC-Monitor (1956-1960).

Once created a comic soap opera The Life And Loves Of Linda Lovely, in which they killed off all the characters in first episode, then replaced it next day with Mary Backstage, Noble Wife.

Co-star of The Bob And Ray Show on NBC-TV (1951-1953). The team of Bob and Ray were regulars on Club Embassy for NBC-TV (1952); CBS-TV variety program, Happy Days (1970). Bob and Ray were hosts of The Name's The Same on ABC-TV (1955). The team made one of their last public appearences together as guests on Coming of Age for CBS-TV in 1988.
