Born in New York City 4/5/1921; died 12/11/1991 of emphysema in Los Angeles, California. Lewis sang soprano on radio age eleven. Attended the University of Michigan, then returned to radio in 1941 as an announcer at WTRY-Troy, New York. Served in the US Arny during WWII, then returned to radio in 1944 as a disk jockey at WHN-New York.
