Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 10/9/1897; presumed dead. Educated at West Philadelphia High School, then studied music with Constantin von Sternberg. He began his career as a concert pianist, later a conductor and composer for radio, television and movies. He joined ASCAP in 1955. Composer of songs including Cuddle Up and High Barbaree. His works include Western Ballet and Variations in Miniature on Chopsticks.
