Bargy, Roy Born in New York 7/31/1894; died 1/15/1974 in Vista, California. Pianist and arranger from the early 1920's when he moved to Chicago where he joined the Benson orchestra. He made his radio debut in 1931 on the Maytag Dance Orchestra for NBC-BLUE. He joined the Paul Whiteman Orchestra in the early 1930's, and appeared on radio with the Whiteman group until he formed his own band.

Host of Blues By Bargy on CBS-TV in 1949. The Roy Bargy Orchestra provided music for The Jimmy Durante Show on NBC-TV (1954-1956). Bargy retired in 1963.
