Clark, Roy (Roy Linwood Clark) Born in Meherrin, Virginia 4/15/1933. Began career as a member of The Diamonds; Roy Clark And The Diamonds first television appearance was on Arthur Godfrey's Talent Scouts for CBS-TV in 1956. Regular on The George Hamilton IV Show for ABC-TV (originating from Washington, D.C. in 1959), Swingin' Country for NBC-TV (1966) and Hee Haw for CBS-TV (1969-1971), and in syndication (1971-1993).
