Began her career at KMBC-Radio in Kansas City during the early 1930's (where she met her future husband). Barth appeared in Happy Hollow a daytime drama at KMBC, that was broadcast on CBS-Radio with Henning playing her husband. She moved to Chicago in 1937 to pursue a career in network radio.
