Malone, Ted (birth name was Frank Alden Russell) Born in Colorado Springs, Colorado 5/18/1908; died 10/20/1989. He got interested in radio while broadcasting his high school basketball games. Attended William Jewel College, then began his radio career in 1929 at KMBC-Kansas City. Malone was a war correspondent during WWII (1944- 1945).
