Leader Ken Trietsch always began each tune with, "are you ready Hezzie?" The group debuted on WOWO-Fort Wayne, Indiana radio in 1932. By 1933 the group was featured on WLS-Chicago. Group opened the 1933-Chicago World's Fair by playing aboard an airplane at circling 6,000 feet above the city. Featured on radio programs including Uncle Ezra's Radio Station for NBC (1934-1939); WLS's National Barndance for NBC (1934-1946). Group hosted their own Mutual-Radio program (1950-1951). Group recorded over one-hundred tunes, and signed a 1946 Columbia movie contract that led to 23 movies. Group once was radio's highest paid novelty muscian group.
