When I was a kid in the mid to late 1950's, my Mom played 2 records over & over while she cleaned house. 1 was of Ernie Ford, and the other of Nat Cole. I have several CD's of both of them, dearly love them both to this day. Nat's voice is my go-to choice for velvety-romance songs.

He was my favoutite singer of all-time. His rich, smooth voice was so comforting. He was a one of a kind talent. He made the magic happen in music. Earl Grant, another vocalist and musician, sang almost like Nat. Earl's voice was sometime mistaken for Nats'. Earl was tragically killed in 1970 in an auto wreck.
