Martin, Tony (birth name was Alvin Morris) Born in Oakland, California 12/25/1912. Married and divorced to Alice Faye (1936-1940); Cyd Charisse (1948-present). Martin began his career as a saxophone player with the Five Red Peppers at age fourteen. Later was in Chicago with Tom Gerun's band playing at the World's Fair (1933). Screen debut in Sing, Baby, Sing (1936).
