Born in Fresno, California 9/26/1915; died 3/5/2005 of heart failure at a rest home in Santa Ana, California. Singer, guitarist, band leader and songwriter. Regular performer on Al Pearce and His Gang for the NBC and CBS Radio Networks during the 1930s. Romano provided music for Bob Hope for over forty years The Tony Romano Orchestra provided music for The Frances Langford-Don Ameche Show on ABC-TV (1951-1952). 1991 was the leader of a band backing Frances Langford at her Outrigger Restaurant in Jensen Beach, Florida.
