Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 11/5/1891; died 6/5/1969 in New York City. Broadway producer; president of the American National Theater and Academy (ANTA) during the late 1940's. Host of Theater USA on ABC-Radio (1948-1949); Talent Jackpot on DuMont-TV (1949). Host-producer of Showtime U.S.A. on ABC-TV (1950-1951).
