Hayworth, Vinton (aka Jack Arnold, Stanley Jordan)
Born in Washington, D.C. 6/4/1906; died 5/21/1970 of a heart attack in Van Nuys, California. Married to actress Jean Owens (?-?). He began his career on stage in Washington, D.C. in 1926. Credited with direting the first live TV show in Chicago (1930). Screen debut as Jack Arnold in Enlighten Thy Daughter (1934). Last movie was Chamber of Horrors (1966). Founding member of the radio union the American Federation of Radio Artists (AFRA), which is now called AFTRA.

He began his radio career in 1925 on WOR-New York. Using the name of Jack Nelson, he was the announcer for The Three Doctors on WMAQ-New York and NBC (1927-1932). Jack Arnold on the CBS and Mutual Radio Network soap, Myrt And Marge (1931-1942), reprised his role for the syndicated
transcribed version (1946). Using name of Vinton Haworth, he was a member of the cast on Tales of the Foreign Legion for CBS-Radio (1932-1933). One of many actors that played Bob on the NBC and CBS Radio Network soap, Betty And Bob (1932-1940). One of two actors to play Fred Andrews on Archie Andrews for the NBC and Mutual Radio Networks (1943-1953). Alonzo Smith on Meet Me In St. Louis for NBC-Radio (1950). Shayne on Michael Shayne for ABC-Radio (?-1953).
