Ma Perkins (sometimes Gladys Pendleton) on the WLW-Cincinnati and the NBC, CBS and Mutual Radio Network soap, Oxydol's own Ma Perkins (1933-1960). Payne was 23 years old when she began playing Ma Perkins, she played the part for 27 years. While the program was on the air Payne never missed one of the 7,065 broadcast episodes.
