Beery, Wallace (birth name as Wallace Fitzgerald Beery) Born in Kansas City, Missouri 4/1/1885; died 4/15/1949 of a heart attack in Los Angeles, California. Married and divorced to actress Gloria Swanson (1916-1919); Rita Gilman (1930-?). Joined Ringling Brothers Circus at age sixteen. Voted among ten-top money-making movie stars of (1932, 1933, 1934, 1935 and 1940). Occasional guest host, then host of Shell Chateau after Al Jolson left the NBC-Radio program in 1936.
