I still miss watching World of Disney/World of Color on Sunday nights. It was part of my childhood. As an adult, I own a lot of the full length cartoons and shorts. Love pretty much everything.

Grew up watching Disney movies and animation. Still remember Sunday night with opening Walt Disney presents theme and music. He brought something very special to the whole world. One of my classmates worked with Disney Studios in L. A. She had art lessons growing up and she married another classmate, he joined the Navy, stationed in San Diego. She applied at Disney and was accepted. Her husband was at sea on aircraft carrier for long periods, so it worked out.

Disney, Walt (birth name is Walter Elias Disney) Born in Chicago, Illinois 12/5/1901; died 12/15/1966 of circulatory system collapse following lung surgery in Burbank, California. Married to Lillian Bounds (1925-1966 his death). Served as an ambulance driver during WWI. Commercial artist (1919-1922). Moved to Los Angeles in 1926 and formed a production company with his older brother, Roy Disney.
